Initiatives
WDB Cares, NFP has launched several initiatives to support Black-owned businesses and young entrepreneurs. Your support goes to the direct funding of these programs and initiatives.

Young Entrepreneur Fund
The heart of what we do is rooted in giving back to the next generation of entrepreneurs. The Young Entrepreneur Fund was launched in November 2016 and to date, we have awarded over $50,000 in prizes to young entrepreneurs across the city of Chicago.
This initiative provides more than cash to young entrepreneurs. They are awarded free marketing and printing, financial services, legacy support, PR, and more. The goal of this initiative is to provide a solid foundation for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Are you a young entrepreneur interested in this year's program?

LEGACY Awards Gala
The L.E.G.A.C.Y. Awards Gala is our signature event that attracts over 700 Black-owned businesses. The gala focuses on celebrating the positive impact Black-owned businesses make every day in the communities they serve. Black entrepreneurs have been the backbone of our economy for decades, contributing greatly to job creation, business leadership, and positive economic impact for growth in deserving communities.
Saturday, February 26, 2022, WDB Marketing is proud to highlight and honor this year’s most influential businessmen and women, empower young entrepreneurs with resources and support, and foster value business connections that garner collaboration.

POWER Conference
We are excited to host the 1st annual LEGACY Power Conference on February 24, 2022. This conference aims to connect hundreds of entrepreneurs across Chicago for networking, panel discussions, and business resources to help scale their businesses. The Power Conference
will be a part of the LEGACY Awards Weekend, which will attract over 1,000 Black-owned businesses throughout the weekend.
